What We Believe
We exist to give every man, woman and child in the Cashiers and Highlands area repeated opportunities to hear and respond to the Gospel.
We are a non-denominational church that is affiliated with the South District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA). Our beliefs are best summed up by the Three Creeds (Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed), by the Alliance Faith and Mission, and by the Westminster Catechism.
To state it briefly: We are all about Jesus
Our church is led by eight elders whom we believe God has called to authority in our church. Each man has equal authority and we are under the united leadership of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. The elders are tasked with upholding scripture and making sure we are following Christ in all things.
We are evangelical, meaning we are serious about spreading the name of Jesus to our friends, family, community, and the world. We believe our culture does not dictate truth, rather, Christ is the truth and has given us truth in the form of the holy and inspired Scriptures. We meet together to better understand the Word of God and hope to see others join so that their lives may be transformed as well.

Core Values
Truth.
Scripture is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It is the basis of all truth and the backbone of our faith. We make every concerted effort to uphold Biblical truth in all our teachings. God has revealed everything necessary for humanity in the Scriptures. It is worthy of our obedience.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” - 2 Timothy 3:16
— John 1:1,14:6; Luke 4:4; Acts 20:27; Hebrews 10:27
Grace and Love.
God’s gift to humanity is the grace and love offered by Jesus on the cross. We were given what we did not deserve, namely, life and forgiveness instead of death because of our sin. This gift is freely offered to all people everywhere. God’s grace frees us from the burden of guilt and shame and replaces it with true freedom and peace. God’s love is what our hearts have been longing for all our lives. The world is bound up in things that never satisfy but God’s presence and love always satisfies.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” - Ephesians 2:8-9
— Mark 2:17; Romans 7:24-25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Matt. 28:18-20; John 13:34-35, 14:21; Acts 6:1-6
Community.
In a superficial world full of empty relationships, we find true substance in our common love for Jesus and our love for one another. Many people move to the mountains believing that all their dreams will come true, that peace, community and relationships will be easy; they are not. The body of Christ is a mixed group of people from all walks of life, and that is what makes it unique and special. Whether you’re looking for community for just a Sunday while you’re on vacation, or you need a place to call home, you will be welcome with us.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:34-35
— Acts 2:42-47; Colossians 1:28; Matthew 5:13-16
